Colour that survives a screenshot

Your palette will mostly be seen second-hand: compressed, screenshotted, re-shared. Design for that.

The colour you approve on a calibrated screen is not the colour most people see. They see a screenshot of a screenshot, in a feed, at reduced quality.

Test in the wild conditions

Compress it. Screenshot it on a phone at half brightness. Print it on an office laser. A palette that holds through all three is a palette that holds.

Do not let hue carry meaning alone

Around one in twelve men will not read a red-green distinction the way you intend. If a colour carries information, give it a second signal.
